Satellite-Observed Spatial and Temporal Sea Surface Temperature Trends of the Baltic Sea between 1982 and 2021

چکیده
The Baltic Sea is one of the fastest-warming marginal seas globally, and its temperature rise has adversely affected physical biochemical characteristics. In this study, forty years (1982–2021) sea surface (SST) data from advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR) were used to investigate spatial temporal SST variability Sea. To end, annual maximum minimum stacked series, i.e., time series layers satellite data, generated using high-quality observations acquired at night fed an automatic algorithm detect linear non-linear trend patterns. pattern was dominant type in both while more pixels with patterns detected when SST. However, showed increases across Annual increased by average 0.062 ± 0.041 °C per year between 1982 2021, 0.035 0.017 over same period. Averaging trends produces a 0.048 0.022 last four decades.

Investigation of Long Term Trend of Spatio-Temporal changes of Sea Surface Temperature in Oman Sea
Considering the vast application of sea surface temperature in climatic and oceanic investigations, this parameter was studied in Oman Sea from 1986 to 2015. The SST was surveyed using trend analysis and Global and local Moran’s I spatial autocorrelation. In trend analysis, the Mann-Kendall test was used to determine the trend of SST changes and the Sen's Estimator method was used to examine th...

The radiometer wet tropospheric correction is a limiting factor of the application of near-coastal altimetry observations in the North Sea – Baltic Sea area. Using an ECMWF model based correction instead, we increase the return rate from 70% to 95%, with observations as close as 10 km from the coast. The altimetry and 39 coastal tide gauges are referenced to the same state of the art regional g...
متن کاملTwentieth-Century Sea Surface Temperature Trends
An analysis of historical sea surface temperatures provides evidence for global warming since 1900, in line with land-based analyses of global temperature trends, and also shows that over the same period, the eastern equatorial Pacific cooled and the zonal sea surface temperature gradient strengthened. Recent theoretical studies have predicted such a pattern as a response of the coupled ocean-a...

Advances in Satellite Sea Surface Temperature Measurement and Oceanographic Applications
Satellite techniques for measurement of sea surface temperature (SST) are reviewed briefly, and a discussion of satellite SST applications and recent research in oceanography is provided. These applications include the areas of climate, mesoscale oceanography, and fisheries. Examples given focus mainly on the Pacific and California Current regions. Satellite SST data are currently used operatio...
